چکیده
The response of the citrus crop to environmental supply largely determines speed and intensity plant's ecophysiological processes, which affect development production crop. main objective was analyze effects climatic conditions on productivity ‘Valencia’ orange agroecosystems (Citrus sinensis L. Osbeck) previously typified in department Meta, Colombia. climatological variables precipitation (PPT), maximum minimum temperatures (Tmax Tmin), wind speed, relative humidity solar brightness were analyzed an observation window spanning years 2013 2015. Using FAO CropWat model, reference evapotranspiration (ETo) obtained applied agroclimatic indices. statistical software STATGRAPHICS Centurion XVI v. 16.2.04, empirical model proposed that relates according indices, for vegetative reproductive phenological phases. It found explains 49% (P=0.0233) oscillation study area agroecosystems. based indices associated with PPT, ETo, Tmax Tmin, relationship between is non-linear. established variation mainly influenced by occurrence magnitude volume quality fruit. On other hand, whereas increases air temperature water deficits pre-flowering flowering phases positively favor production, same factors produce a negative effect setting phase.

Photosynthetic Activity in the Flower Buds of ;Valencia' Orange (Citrus sinensis [L.] Osbeck).
Flower buds of ;Valencia' orange (Citrus sinensis [L.] Osbeck) were able to fix (14)CO(2) into a number of compounds in their own tissues under both light and dark conditions. The total incorporation, however, was about 4-fold higher in the light than in the dark. In the light, 50% of the total (14)C label was found in the neutral fraction (sugars), 22% in the basic fraction (amino acids), and ...
متن کاملEffect of Water Stress on Ethylene Production by Detached Leaves of Valencia Orange (Citrus sinensis Osbeck).
Detached leaves of Valencia oranges, Citrus sinensis Osbeck, emanated ethylene at markedly higher rates and contained more endogenous ethylene when placed under water stress at 55% relative humidity than when placed in water-saturated air. Water stress induced defoliation from detached branches. Relieving the water stress of such leaves by transfer to a mist chamber resulted in lowering of the ...
متن کاملDevelopment and characterization of polymorphic microsatellite markers for the sweet orange (Citrus sinensis L. Osbeck)
The aims of this study were to develop simple sequence repeat markers (SSRs or microsatellite markers) in citrus and to evaluate the efficiency of these markers for characterization of sweet orange. We developed SSRs from a genomic library of ‘Pêra IAC’ sweet orange enriched for AG/TC, GT/CA, TCA/AGT and AAC/TTG sequence repeats. We selected 279 sequences from which 171 primer pairs were design...
متن کاملA proteomic analysis of the chromoplasts isolated from sweet orange fruits [Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck]
Here, a comprehensive proteomic analysis of the chromoplasts purified from sweet orange using Nycodenz density gradient centrifugation is reported. A GeLC-MS/MS shotgun approach was used to identify the proteins of pooled chromoplast samples. A total of 493 proteins were identified from purified chromoplasts, of which 418 are putative plastid proteins based on in silico sequence homology and fu...
متن کاملTranscriptome analysis of a spontaneous mutant in sweet orange [Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck] during fruit development
Bud mutations often arise in citrus. The selection of mutants is one of the most important breeding channels in citrus. However, the molecular basis of bud mutation has rarely been studied. To identify differentially expressed genes in a spontaneous sweet orange [C. sinensis (L.) Osbeck] bud mutation which causes lycopene accumulation, low citric acid, and high sucrose in fruit, suppression sub...
